Shanghai International young fashion designer show case
On April 2006, Shanghai's twice yearly fashion week is attracting increasing attention from China and abroad. For Spring 2006, the premier event was the Shanghai International Young Fashion Designers Showcase held at Shanghai's center of style and culture, Xintiandi. insh designer Helen Lee was invited along with 8 other Chinese and 9 International designers. Over two nights, these top designers showed their latest collections by runway show and were judged by industry and celebrity judges including Vogue China's Editor-in-Chief, Angelica Cheung. The results for insh were incredible with Helen Lee's Fall / Winter 2006 collection beating out 17 other designers to win both "Best Designer" and "Best Marketability"awards. The entire showcase was filmed and broadcast across China on Dragon Television.
